Our state of emergency

After a few pretty intense storms the governor declared a state of emergency in our county and the surrounding areas. My beloved is helping to fix some of the damage and has been at it for days with little sleep. When I say little I mean at most 5 hours then working until after dark, coming home and faceplanting into bed, to do it again in a few hours. He knows I'm worried about him and claims he's okay but he passes out as soon as his head hits the pillows. I honestly wish we didn't live in an area where hurricanes are a problem; we're just getting the tail end of it and it's still bad. I know it's his job to do these things and they're actively looking for new guys to work for them but it seems not many will take the job. I keep hoping someone will so maybe he can stop pushing himself so hard. I took a little walk with Mochi to see the small section of the park near us that's actually finished and it could be truly nice when it's finished. I hope they plant more trees for shade though; it was hot as hell the day I went. I made a wonderful breakfast for him and hate that there's nothing else I can do. I found a wonderful shampoo and wish it weren't limited edition. I guess that's it for now; I just miss him and want to be with him.
