A few shots from a chaotic week
The word "chaotic" was used by my beloved to describe this week and honestly it fits so well I'm just going to use it. He hasn't slept much since our little sojourn to the river and of course I'm worried. That's about a week of getting by on a few hours of sleep a night. However, that ever present worry aside, it wasn't the worst thing to happen this week. On Thursday I saw on the news that there was a man with a gun shooting people outside of Cory's apartment building. I couldn't do anything but wait and try to get a hold of him. After a few very tense hours the police captured him and I finally got to speak to my brother. Words fail to express how scary that was; I think it struck a nerve with Gabe too after he lost his younger brother so quickly and senselessly. He didn't want to see me go through that same pain. I can only be grateful that he's okay and no one else was hurt either. I love my brother, despite our occasional differences. I had meant for this to be a more light hearted entry about a simple but delicious breakfast I had, my new favorite shampoo, and my beloved's next project, but no. This had to be mentioned. They're also building a park close to us, which is perfect for when we take Trevor there. Our son will have somewhere close by to play, which is great. Not that I plan on letting him go alone. I can't believe it's just a few more months and I'm going to be a mother. I guess that's it for now.
