Music 🎧🎤🎸🥁

I thought today I would get away from the more serious,personal stuff and talk about the bands I find myself listening to the most often. This list isn't necessarily definitive but it's as close as I can get. Dir En Grey, Metallica, and Slipknot will always be my top 3 though, those are non-negotiable. I would say Type O Negative and Behemoth round out the top 5 with AFI, Alice in Chains, Exist Trace, The Gazette,HIM, and Lacuna Coil rounding out the top 10. I wouldn't be into metal without Metallica and am eternally grateful Danny played their music for me when we were children. Dir En Grey were a complete surprise and I was genuinely in awe of their creativity and versatility as musicians. Kyo's voice is in a league of its own too; I don't think I've heard anyone who sounds like him and the energry passion, and emotion he puts into his perfomances is incredible. I don't exaggerate when I say I started learning Japanese partially to be able to listen to their music without having to look up translations. Slipknot also were a complete surprise; I had trouble sleeping one night in college and turned on the radio to the one decent metal/ rock station we had where I lived then and heard " Duality". I was instantly hooked, much like Dir En Grey and Metallica; they captured my attention immediately and I fell in love with them.
