A wonderful New Year's Day
Happy New Year's!! Today has been so wonderful, peaceful, and quiet. Precicely what we need. I made some pistachio walnut muffins and pizza and have been spending a quiet peaceful day eating and watching " Dandadan" with my beloved. Today was the first time in over a week he's had any kind of appetite so I happily made him what he wanted to eat. "Dandadan" is definitely a strange show but there were parts of it that were laugh out loud funny and I love the interactions between Momo and Ken; how they get to know and like each other. The part in
particular when they try to find each other and want nothing more than to talk to each other felt very relatable. That's exactly how things started with Gabe and I; we still talk throughout the day and can't wait to see each other when we get home. I truly wish I didn't have to go back to work tomorrow, especially because I know the next few months are going to be awful and I won't have time for much. He's going back to work tomorrow too; his boss claims they need every man physically able to be there and wrap this project up. I threatened to go down there and throw hands if anything happens to him. I wasn't remotely kidding and I hope he knows that. I've told a few friends (because I only really have a few) about the way he gets treated at work and they were as shocked as I was, fully agreeing that it can't be legal to make someone work under such conditions and so many hours. I'm trying to gently convince him to quit but he's as stubborn as I am. He's still hung up on the idea of getting us this house he really wants but we don't need it; I've told him I would happily live in a shack so long as he and I are together. We actually got a bit of snow last night; sleeping next to my sweet, handsome man who doubles as a heater as the cold snow fell has to be one of the most amazing and romantic things to ever happen. He told me how much he misses snow, coming from a much more northern state than he moved to. He seems to enjoy it and I can understand; I grew up in a state that had tons of snow in the Winter. I guess that's enough for now.
