This heat is killing me

  I heard Gabe getting up for work this morning it was already 78° and that was 4:00 am. 😭😭 He sweetly made me some iced coffee and turned the AC on before leaving. I had to convince myself to get up and leave the house because it's boiling out there. If his boss lets him go at a decent time we plan to go swimming; if there's any room in the pool. I worry a bit as I know how hot it is and he's out there working. I'm also pretty excited about my grandma's 90th birthday coming up in a few weeks; I wish I could be there in person but flying to visit her is just much too expensive. I'm going to video call her during the birthday party and surprise her though. I really wish she didn't live so far away; I haven't seen her face to face in far too long. She's going to get to meet Gabe for the first time; although she only speaks German and he only speaks English and Spanish. I can translate between them though; I hope she likes him. He won over the rest of my family though so I think it's going to be okay. I suppose that's enough for now.
